  • • an annual worldwide focus day on a Sunday near the end of April, as the culmination of Digital Outreach Month. Churches and other groups are encouraged to create a focus spot or digital training day, either on that Sunday, or indeed at any time of the year.

Sharing life-saving news on Facebook

Moving story of Tim Reilly sharing the good news through social media, at a critical point in a friend’s life.

Two comments:

  • A prerequisite for this story: that Tim had a number of not-yet-followers as Facebook friends.
  • He was open to the guidance of God’s Spirit on who to speak to, and to use real-time Facebook messaging rather than merely posting a comment or question.

Most of the time, our interactions are not so dramatic, or need to be conducted by Facebook messenger. There are other ways to relate to friends on Facebook, and share faith when appropriate.
