When debate turns to argument

Hmm. If all the Christians who spent today arguing or denouncing other Christians were laid end to end…
I suppose our problem is that we often use an amalgam of our pastor’s views, past generations’ understanding, our national culture plus our personality type to produce an instant gut reaction to any question. We then interpret this reaction as universal principle and/or the voice of the Holy Spirit, on which, therefore, there can be no compromise or further reasoned analysis.
