Usable menus

Usability expert Jakob Nielsen has published his latest usability study suggesting that large, drop-down menus containing further choices and topic areas are intuitively clear. I note that the example he cites – foodnetwork.com – appears to be using pure-CSS nested lists, yet managing to place them in a large two-column container. Nice.
