This is a very interesting post. I head up the social media drive for the Lausanne movement (among some other tasks!) – we have been spending quite a bit of time working on finding ways to connect people in the ‘offline’ world to issues, conversations and concerns of bringing the whole Gospel to the whole world.

I live and work in South Africa where internet access is available (but not accessible to most of the population). However, basic handsets with basic browsing capabilities are everywhere (although the cost of data is still an issue here). My concern with Lausanne has been to make use of the traditional platforms to generate relationships and interaction around crucial issues. But I want to take the next step, i.e., bring the ‘technologically silent’ people of Africa, parts of Asia and South America into the conversations on methods and theologies of evangelism.
